About PTFE (Teflon®)
PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene, branded as Teflon®) is virtually inert to acids, bases, and organic solvents, retains its properties across an extreme temperature range, and offers the lowest coefficient of friction of any solid engineering material. It's FDA approved for food-contact applications. Teflon® is a registered trademark of DuPont.
