Nylon 66 (PA66)
Higher melting point and stiffness than cast PA6
Nylon 66 (PA66) is an extruded polyamide with a higher melting point and greater stiffness than cast PA6 — the preferred engineering nylon for demanding structural, wear, and thermal applications. MK Industrial & Co.® supplies PA66 sheets, rods and tubes across Bangalore and Karnataka.
About Nylon 66 (PA66)
Nylon 66 (PA66) is an extruded polyamide with a higher melting point and greater stiffness than cast PA6 — making it the preferred engineering nylon for demanding structural, wear, and thermal applications.
MK Industrial & Co.® supplies PA66 sheets, plates, rods and tubes in Bangalore and Karnataka, serving automotive, textile, packaging, defence, and general engineering industries across India.
PA66 has a melting point of ~261°C versus ~220°C for PA6, and retains higher tensile and flexural modulus across a wide temperature range. It is the material of choice wherever tight dimensional tolerances, consistent moisture absorption, and reliable fatigue strength are required in continuously loaded parts — gears, racks, pulleys, bushes, and conveyor components. It is also oil, grease, and solvent resistant, and machinable to tight tolerances with standard tooling.
