POM (Delrin®/Acetal)
Precision-machinability, low friction, engineering thermoplastic
POM (Polyoxymethylene), also known as Acetal or Delrin®, is a precision engineering thermoplastic prized for excellent dimensional stability, low friction, and high stiffness. MK Industrial & Co.® supplies POM-H, ESD-safe, and glass-filled grades in sheets and rods across Bangalore and Karnataka.
About POM (Delrin®/Acetal)
POM (Polyoxymethylene) is available as POM-H (homopolymer), offering higher stiffness and fatigue endurance, or POM-C (copolymer), offering better resistance to hydrolysis and hot water. Both grades share excellent resistance to gasoline, lubricants, solvents and many neutral chemicals, holding tight dimensional stability better than most engineering plastics. Delrin® is a registered trademark of DuPont.
MK Industrial & Co.® stocks POM-H, POM-C, Brown POM-H (Delrin®), Black, White/Natural, ESD-safe grade, and glass-filled grade in sheets and rods — available in standard dimensions and custom cut-to-size across Bangalore and Karnataka.
POM is widely specified in gears, bearings, bushes, sprockets, washers, seals, conveyor chains, rollers and electrical components — wherever tight tolerances and low friction matter.
