Bakelite
Classic phenolic laminate for electrical insulation
Bakelite is a paper-based phenolic laminate valued for electrical insulation, heat resistance, and dimensional stability. MK Industrial & Co.® supplies Bakelite sheets and rods across Bangalore and Karnataka.
About Bakelite
Bakelite is a paper-based phenolic laminate — one of the earliest engineered plastics — still specified today for its electrical insulation, heat resistance, dimensional stability, and machinability. It's fire retardant and holds up well under sustained mechanical and thermal stress.
MK Industrial & Co.® stocks Bakelite in Orange (natural phenolic color) and ESD-safe grade, in sheets and rods — available in standard dimensions and custom cut-to-size across Bangalore and Karnataka.
Bakelite is specified across circuit boards, electrical fixtures, switchgear, insulators, engineering prototypes, industrial piping and valves, conveyor chains, and even vintage radio/electronics restoration and musical instruments.
